Since morning most of the residents of this village have packed Paseban Sunan Geseng or known as Prince Cakra Jaya. The presence of these residents is nothing but to pray together and stay in touch with local residents
The chairman of the committee, Fathul Bari, said that the sadran gedhe tradition is solely to pray for the spirits of ancestors or village elders. Usually the big nyadran is done on the last Monday or Thursday
He hopes that with this great awareness, the people of Gumelem Kulon and its surroundings will always receive blessings. Besides that, to preserve the sadran culture so that it does not become extinct from Gumelem Kulon Village. This activity is a relic of previous ancestors. So we preserve it by holding a big nyadran activity. (MH)
